When trying to find ways of creating unique and fun décor, I found that using the Cricut Machine was a useful tool to help make the process much more efficient and it also allowed me to create whatever new and exciting things popped into my little head. I create most of everything I do in Adobe’s Photoshop and Illustrator and then load to design space for print and cut or just cutting purposes. I do not create much of my artwork or designs in design space as I find that it does not have the capabilities that I need for all the things that I do. But it is an extremely use little program for integrating my work for preparation with the Cricut machine. I use the Cricut to print and cut all my Journal stickers, regular stickers, templates for my Airbrush machine I use for my traditional artwork. I sue it for Faux leather cutting for jewelry making, for cutting stencils, templates, Infusible ink projects and much more. The Cricut has become a staple in my arsenal to everyday crating and I highly recommend it.
I keep a 3-ring binder for a spec book for all my project types and the settings of Design Space and the Cricut machine that I use. This way I just pull out the book change out a page if I update the settings and I Never have to waste time or materials in messing up a project. The idea of having one place as a go to for all my settings is a great feeling when I get busy with different projects and have to go back and forth between them.
